i have no idea where my video of dizzee’s “stop dat” went. lame. you get the idea though. the show was more than nice. crowd thinned out a bit after dizzee finished his set. it’s been a few years since i had last seen el-p. copped el-p’s tour only cd for $25! a bit pricey though it is a double disc and what i’ve heard so far is the cat’s pajamas. i planned to upload it along with this post but i’m running short on time today so i’ll hold out for now…

…i managed to find 5 total. the more i thought about it, i could not recall ever having gone mushroom hunting. not like it’s some rites of passage or whatever. maybe it is in some cultures, who knows…anyway, i was just surprised that i haven’t gone and searched before. it made for a pleasant morning…

…which took place the following day. aaargh!!! so now, afterthoughts. had i known beforehand of this show, would i have gone? and if i did end up at said show, how would it have effected my performance in the 1/2 marathon? would i still have pr’d? i mean, i did get an excellent finish time(1:43:04) as well as this sweet medal…
i must admit, i am a little disappointed now that i know i missed an opportunity to see benga. in san francisco no less. at the same time, my trip was still effin’ ridiculous. ah wells. it’s said and done. behind me. in the past. long gone. history. but seriously, it would have been a helluva show. i must be getting old, letting that one slip by me…
